Report to Stakeholders - June 2011
Though I know we just wrapped up one campaign, we are already working diligently on the next.  We are making some exciting changes that have been well received by our volunteers and which we hope you will appreciate.

To keep the focus on the work all of our partners do together to make our community a better place, the campaign goal we announce for the upcoming 2011-2012 campaign will be outcome-based rather than dollar focused.   As you may recall, we have been collecting surveys at workplace campaigns, community events, and online asking for the community’s feedback on areas of importance on which we and our partners can make an impact.  We will consider the survey findings and other knowledge gained from our collaborations in the community to establish our first focus area and measurable goals.  We expect to announce the outcome soon.

In the coming year, you will note an increased focus on our “LIVE UNITED” stance.  I encourage you to LIVE UNITED through volunteering, community involvement and basic neighbor compassion.  Thanks to DP&L’s generous sponsorship, we will be distributing LIVE UNITED shirts to volunteers, at community events and through a variety of contests on our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn).

We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with the Oregon District Business Association for our kick-off event this year to be held Tuesday, September 6th from 5-8pm. We will be in touch with more details soon, but please get this on your calendars.  It will be a fun, informative celebration to wrap up summer and launch our new campaign and initiatives.

Sincerely,

Allen H. Elijah
