Report to Stakeholders - December 2010
"United Way dollars provide for Family Services the ability to never turn anyone away for services regardless of their ability to pay."
- Bonnie Parish, Executive Director, Family Services

“The support from United Way assists in putting the smiles on the faces of our Dayton wish children and allows dreams to come true.”
- Development Coordinator, A Special Wish Foundation, Inc.

“Last year, St. Vincent de Paul served over 75,000 people in our community ... When you give to our community’s United Way, you support local United Way Partner Agencies like us and fund important community resources.”
- Leigh Sempeles, Esq., Executive Director, St. Vincent de Paul Dayton

“United Way funding is crucial to our mission and to delivering the services our aging need.”
- Judy Baker, Executive Director Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center

The above quotes come from United Way of the Greater Dayton Area partner agencies.   As you can see, these 70+ organizations rely on us for consistent financial support, referrals via our HelpLink 2-1-1 and volunteers from our Volunteer Connection. These partners are serving more and more people – over 260,000 last year -- with fewer resources.  In short, the need is greater than ever, so your help is needed more than ever.

I invite you to view our list of partners and learn about the valuable contributions they make to our community and our neighbors in Montgomery, Greene, and Preble counties.  United Way supports services that can touch us all from scouting to hospice or respite care and supports services for our neighbors most in need from emergency food and shelter to protection from abuse and neglect.

In this season of giving, we ask that you join United Way in Reinventing Hope for our region.
Please give as generously as you can.  Thank you.
