Families Invited to Peace Bridge Celebration

Thursday, April 28, 2005 – Dayton, OH – On the occasion of its 17th anniversary, the Peace Bridge event is being expanded to include more activities and moved to a Sunday to encourage families to participate in this annual celebration. The event will take place on Sunday, May 15th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Oak and Ivy Park next to the Cassano Health Center on Edwin C. Moses Boulevard between Fifth and Third Streets in Dayton. There will be music, games, and refreshments, along with the opportunity to learn about organizations working for racial harmony and justice. The event culminates in a walk to the Peace Bridge on Third Street at 6:45 p.m. The event sponsors are Greater Dayton Christian Connections, the National Conference of Community and Justice, and United Way of the Greater Dayton Area.
