Where Women are reunited with their children...Where "coming home" can be real, affordable, and just a door away....

Gandhi Houses are aftercare housing units for our women with children.  These units offer women who have regained custody of their children a safe place in which to establish a stable family and strenghten their parenting skills.  These women are assigned a case manager who assists them in maintaining this new life and in making long range goals for themselves and their children.
(Opened in 1996 - 4 Units for Women with Children)

Project Turnaround is one of our aftercare housing units.  These units provide single women with a safe place to root themselves in their new life style, to save money and to further their education.  Women who choose one of these apartments are assigned a case manager who assists them in maintaining employment, in developing healthy relationships and in continuing their responsible lifestyle.
(Opened in 1997 - 4 Units for Single Women)

The Benning Place Program is a third aftercare housing area under the supervision of Mercy Manor.  These units are for women with or without children.  These women are also assigned a case manager who assists them in living a drug-free life, in maintaining employment and in developing health relationships.  A Mercy Manor satellite office has been established at this site.
(Opened in 1998 - 40 Units for Women and Children)

YWCA Singles Rooms are additional housing possibilities for single women in our aftercare proram.  Here women are assisted by an assigned case manager and are supported by an active community of women with similar desires and goals.
(Opened in 1999 - 10 Units for Single Women)
