United Way: the New Pop Culture Icon

On Saturday, March 24th, Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning appeared as the guest host on Saturday Night Live.  A long-time supporter of United Way, Peyton spoofed the United Way and NFL's "Lend a Hand" campaign.  Click here to view the skit (warning: content and language might be offensive to some viewers).

Cable television has also latched on to the United Way movement.  As part of the Alternative Spring Break partnership with MTV, United Way is now a part of the station's "The Amazing Break" special.  Click here to read the stories and take a look at some of the young adults who volunteered their time to help out those in need.

Both of these clips reinforce United Way's positioning as the nation's leader in driving multigenerational volunteerism and civic engagement.
